What Not To Do - No Domain Name

There are tons of good reasons to get your own domain name - see this article for a more detailed info, but briefly:
  • If you have a domain: if your site moves to a new web host, all the links in search engines will automatically point to the new host once the move is complete.

  • Having keywords in your domain name can help with ranking.

  • Some search engines limit the number of pages they will index from a particular domain. If there are thousands of sites on a particular free host, they are not all going to make it into the search engines!

  • Aside from search engines: If you tell people your URL - it's likely to be short and easy-to-spell (if well chosen), and stay the same even if you switch web host.
So, I would suggest you use the domain research tools at DomainCavern.com to find yourself a suitable domain name.
